As our name suggests we work “in IT”! Three reasons to work with us...

We Deliver

We have a strong network and extensive knowledge of the technology sector in New Zealand and can help with your current and future recruitment needs and plans. We're open, honest and reliable, if we can't help, we'll say so; there's really no point giving a false promise and not delivering.

We Care

It may sound cheesy but we actually care about what we do and our impact on the people and organisations we interact with; if you’ve not dealt with us before, this is something you’ll realise quickly. We take the time to get to know who we work with, whether job seeker, company owner, HR or hiring manager. We don't just drop someone into a role and leave them to it; we’ll get to know you, your organisation and the teams within it and provide support wherever we can.

We Adapt

We offer a diverse range of recruitment based services that can be tailored to what you’re wanting to achieve and our costs are flexible too. We readily adapt what we do to suit your exact needs, also recognising that these needs will evolve over time.

Emma Roberts

After several years in legal admin & PA roles, Emma returned to full time studies and in 2005 obtained a First Class BSc Hons in Information Systems & Internet Commerce at Staffordshire University. While speaking to IT recruiters about her prospects for IT work after her studies were completed, she was asked to work part time for one of those agencies in 2003 and her recruitment career continued from there..

Emma moved from the UK to NZ in 2006 and setup inITiate Recruitment in January 2014 which she runs from her home in rural North Auckland (along with her 3 dogs, 2 goats, 4 sheep, 2 guinea pigs and many,. many chickens!).

A techie at heart with a sound business mind and very much a people person; recruitment is the perfect job that combines Emma’s capability, interests and skills. It’s really important to enjoy your work, especially as a recruiter - dabbling in people’s careers and impacting client’s business decisions. With more than 20 years experience, Emma is an open and honest person who builds long term relationships. She loves seeing the evolution of the companies she works with and always feels privileged to get involved in people’s careers.

When not working, Emma is an avid knitter, enjoys a wine or two, practices yoga and meditation and is a keen gardener.
